Join us for a ferocious night on the Yorkshire coast as punk titans Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter headline TK Maxx Presents Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 2 August 2026. You can be there as they celebrate 50 years of punk with a huge open-air show.
The original Pistols – Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock – are joined by frontman Frank Carter to lead this new chapter for one of the most influential rock bands of all time. 2025 has seen the band emerge once again as a force of chaos and celebration, with shows around the world and a renewed focus on the attitude and energy that made them legends in the first place.
Their 2026 tour marks 50 years since the band’s infamous show at Manchester’s Lesser Free Trade Hall – a gig hailed by NME as “the most important concert of all time” and widely credited with inspiring the punk explosion in Northern England.
Formerly of Gallows and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Frank first joined the band in 2024 for a special show to help save London’s Bush Hall. His arrival brought new life and intensity to the Pistols’ music, earning rave reviews and setting the tone for this latest run of live dates.
Joining Sex Pistols in Scarborough will be special guests The Stranglers. One of the longest serving UK punk bands, they have scored 20 Top 40 albums and 24 UK Top 40 singles including 'Peaches', 'No More Heroes', 'Always The Sun', 'Strange Little Girl' and the timeless 'Golden Brown'. With their blend of melody, darkness and effortless cool, The Stranglers remain one of the most respected names to emerge from the punk era.
Also celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2026 are fellow special guests The Undertones. Best known for the classic single 'Teenage Kicks', they emerged from Derry in 1976 when five friends taught themselves to play rock and roll and went on to become one of punk’s most beloved bands.
