PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

The West End production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera, at the Her Majesty’s Theatre, is now celebrating its 30th Anniversary.

Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House hides the Phantom in a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, the love he holds for his beautiful protégée Christine Daaé is so strong that even her heart cannot resist. The musical opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and there have been dozens of productions worldwide since then. Now in its 30th record-breaking year, The Phantom of the Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, after more than 12,000 performances.

Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock features music from the movie, as well as new music written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater and a book by Julian Fellowes. THE KING & I

WAR HORSE

War Horse is the powerful story of a young boy called Albert and his beloved horse, Joey, who has been requisitioned to fight for the English in World War I.

Caught in enemy crossfire, Joey ends up serving on both sides during the war before landing in no man's land, while Albert, not old enough to enlist, embarks on a treacherous mission to find his horse and bring him home.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Legendary filmmaker and comedian Mel Brooks brings his classic monster musical comedy Young Frankenstein to life on stage in an all-singing, all-dancing musical collaboration with Tony-award winning Broadway director and choreographer Susan Stroman.

The musical is based on the 1974 film of the same name which Brooks directed and co-wrote with Gene Wilder. Wilder plays Dr Frankenstein in the film which pokes fun at classic horror films.

The story sees esteemed brain surgeon and professor Frederick Frankenstein inherit his grandfather's castle in Transylvania. He must decide whether to continue to run from his family's tortured past or continue his grandfather's experiments in Transylvania.
