County Durham

Rushyford lies between Durham and Darlington and is ideally located for exploring the surrounding area. A leisurely half hour drive away is the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the West, or the Durham Heritage Coast to the East. There is also an abundance of museums and historical buildings, as well as plenty for nature lovers in and around the region.

County Durham makes an excellent choice for both walking holidays and city breaks. Durham Cathedral and Castle form the centre of Durham World Heritage Site, with historic buildings and great attractions dating back to the Norman Conquest to explore. Further afield is Newcastle, Hadrian's Wall, the Angel of the North and the Beamish Museum which all offer great days out in this thriving corner of England.
