Steeped in history, Bredbury is a village on the Western fringe of the Peak District yet less than 8 miles from Manchester and within 2 miles of Stockport. It's surrounded by beautiful countryside including river valleys and the Northern-named hill Werneth Low.

As well as being mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the village’s history spans across Roman Times, the Middle Ages and the Industrial Revolution.  Bredbury is home to the National Library for the Blind, and also the birthplace of actor Will Mellor and impressionist Mike Yarwood.
