Arrochar is set amongst beautiful scenery and sits between mountains which lead down into the sea of Loch Long, which was used as a torpedo testing site during WWII. It’s an excellent base for enjoying the great outdoors and a great destination for your next break.
It’s situated near the Arrochar Alps and the Argyll Forest Park making it very popular with mountain climbers and walkers. There are also some gentle forest walks laid out by the Forestry Commission.
Not too far away is Loch Lammond Seaplanes and Argyll Voyageur Canoes with the big cities of Glasgow and Stirling about an hour’s drive away.
The village itself boasts a range of local crafts including pottery and jewellery, a grocery store and several pubs and restaurants offering delicious cuisine and live entertainment.
