Standish, Lancs

Lancashire is a truly diverse county offering everything from busy seaside resorts, bustling towns and cities and stunning countryside! St Wilfrid's Parish Church is the only Grade I listed building in the area; but its gatehouse, built in 1926, is listed as Grade II. The church itself can be dated back to at least 1205!

Walking can be the best way to explore all of Lancashire's gorgeous countryside, coast, canals and towns. Walk along the flat ground all the way through the moorland of the Forest of Bowland and onto the West Pennine Moors, taking in the beautiful views, quiet lakes and rare wildlife. You can choose anything from a short gentle walk to a long distance trek; there is a distance to suit everybody.
