The Autumn Steam Gala is one of North Yorkshire Moors railway biggest events of the calendar and the last steam gala of the year.
Climb on-board the railway’s heritage carriages and enjoy a spectacular journey on one of the UK’s most loved steam railways, with superb panoramas of the great North Yorkshire Moors.
Remember to pack your camera as the gala provides a chance to catch a glimpse of some of the rarest steam locomotives in action. The gala always has a great line-up of locomotives as many guest engines in the country join the home fleet for this weekend extravaganza.
Stop off at the quaint stations along the route and join in the fun of the Autumn Gala. There’s plenty of things to see and do.
Enjoy a satisfying tipple or two at the Beer Festival hosted at Lewisham Station and Goathland, “Aidensfield" from ITV’s Heartbeat and Hogsmeade station the very first Harry Potter Film, and try a selection of real ales from local breweries.
At Pickering station you will also be able to see a miniature scale railway created by a local modelling team.
There are also plenty of activities for children and trade stands stalls, selling books and memorabilia.
A weekend you will remember for a long time. Plan ahead and book today with National Holidays!
