Pitlochry, stunning scenery.

This small highland town has an incredible range of restaurants, cafes and eateries to discover, offering a great choice to suit everyone’s palate - from the simple fish and chips to top of the range menus. Pitlochry also offers a diverse range of retail outlets from the small sole trader to the famous stores.
Just a short drive from Pitlochry, travelling on winding, tree-lined roads, along the River Tummel, lies the Queen’s View. Discover one of the most iconic panoramas in Scotland from this famous vantage point. The Queens View has been a popular visitor attraction since Victorian times and is fabled to have been named after Queen Victoria, who visited this delightful location in 1866, however some believe it was named after Queen Isabella the 14th century wife of Robert the Bruce who used this spot as a resting place when on her travels.

Pitlochry is a walkers paradise! With its excellent network of well-marked routes, ranging from gentle strolls to challenging hikes, all surrounded by dramatic scenery, there is something for everyone to enjoy. This highland town and its surrounding area is steeped in history and folklore waiting to be discovered, so why not take the Killicrankie walk and learn about the Battle of Killiecrankie and the Soldier’s Leap, see the Linn of Tummel waterfall, or spot salmon and admire the abundant bird life from one of the many bridges on this route.
