Jersey

Jersey, the largest Channel Island

The north coast is the most dramatic part of the Island with towering, heather-clad cliffs that shelter hidden coves while the magnificent wild expanse of St Ouen’s Bay and the sand dunes dominate the west. By contrast the golden sandy stretches of the south are a beach-lover’s paradise, while the rocky inlets of the east are lapped with calm water and peppered with ancient castles and towers.

Jersey tells the story of its past in a gripping, entertaining way at castles, war tunnels and rural museums. From the Jersey War Tunnels, telling the true story of the occupation of Jersey during World War Two, Elizabeth Castle, built on a rocky islet of St Aubins Bay, Mont Orgueil Castle, the Hamptonne Country Life Musuem, showcasing six centuries of Jersey’s working life and of course the famous Maritime Museum, fiving you chance to discover all about Jersey’s maritime past in this unique, interactive museum.
